#059: Revolution in Catholic Education – Jennifer Fulwiler Interviews Taylor Marshall

Happy New Year’s Eve! I have a sore throat and my voice is shot, so instead of recording I’m sharing a really fun interview that I did with former-atheist, now-Catholic author, blogger, radio host Jennifer Fulwiler at conversiondiary.com.

jennifer-fulwiler-bio-thumbnailShe recently invited me to be on her Sirius XM radio show to talk about the “coming revolution in education.” I predict that college institutions will begin to lose their grip on the market and explain why.

Thanks for replay of interview with J. Fulwiler on XM radio. Fascinating analogy of pre reformation period to current higher education conundrum.

Thank you for the replay. I listen to both XM and EWTN and Jennifer Fulwiler is the perfect radio personality. This conversation hit some great nails on the heads. I am very lonely in my parish. I am no Catholic history expert but the levels of understanding and participation vary so much. And yes, education is too costly for the job prospects out there. Those who set the standards and decide on the courses are given some phony authority to require many courses/electives that are wasteful and not relevant, but “required” (some are harmful in certain liberal colleges).

I attend the TLM twice a week in my parish. However, we are guests at this church so we cannot ‘recruit’ new parishioners. When I first started attending this most beautiful and Holy Mass, I heard that many people are hostile to the TLM. It didn’t take very long before I experienced this for myself.
How can TLM parishioners get their information out to other Catholics/non-Catholics that this Mass exists in their cities without looking like we are robbing others of their parishioners. I do speak to people on my own, but I can see their puzzlement as to why I would want to return to the 50’s.
    God bless
