I’ll be speaking at two of the Steubenville Catholic Conferences this week:

07/23/2015 – Applied Biblical Studies Conference:
I’ll be explaining how “Saint Paul was a Catholic Priest.”

07/25/2015 – Defending the Faith Conference:
I’ll be giving a message titled: “Saint Paul’s Theology of the Body: Saint Paul on Sexual Ethics.”

Both topics are important for 2015:

• The first talk on “Paul as Priest” is a reflection on how priestly Saint Paul was and how his personal identity was priestly and based on “spiritual fatherhood.” I hope to show that “Fatherhood” is the primary attribute of Catholic priests but even more so for Catholic bishops. We have lost the idea of bishop as “father” or “grandfather” and instead see bishops as fundraisers and administrators. Paul help us through this.
• The second talk is dead on for the our current matrimony crisis. I’ll show how and why Saint Paul rejected homosexuality, pre-marital sex, contraception, etc. and delve into the original Greek text of Paul’s letter to equip the listeners to defend this truth with family and friends.
