PHOTO: Our 8th Baby, Margaret

Our 8th baby is here – a perfect baby girl! She was born on October 22, 2015.

  • Margaret: my great-grandmother’s name (and in Latin it means “pearl” as in the Pearl of Great Price)
  • Grace: we need more of God’s grace
  • 8lbs, 7 ounces

Check out the supreme cuteness of little Margaret:

Thousands of you were praying for us as Joy’s labor excelled 24 hours. Out of our 8 babies, this was one of the the toughest. The baby would not be born! We checked in at 8am on Wednesday and up with a Caesarean by 11:15am Thursday:

Joy checking in…

Since the water had been broken over 20 hours, the doctor opted for Caesarean section. Here’s Joy still spunky after 20 hours of labor (Joy, please don’t kill me for posting this pic!). She has 7 babies and given birth 3 times previously at home with no drugs, so she’s pretty much a boss with high pain tolerance. If you looking to meet Mrs. Provers 31:10-31, here she is after fighting the fight for 20 hours:

after 20 hours of labor, not a lot of sleep, and a lot of prayers

They suited me up to play the part (#nofilter #NotAMedicalDoctor):

Then, total jaw-dropping cuteness entered our lives:

is she precious or what?

And here’s the family greeting their new baby sister (if you don’t see the video, click here):

May I ask a special favor? Please pray a Hail Mary for Margaret to live a happy and holy life! Would you do that for us? Thank you!

Joy is recovering and doing well. She is so happy! We are blessed together.

PS: Thank you to everyone on Facebook and to everyone in the New Saint Thomas Institute who was praying for Joy and the baby  during the labor and confusion leading up to the Caesarean section.
