Memento Hymn Slavishly Translated by Taylor Marshall
1. Memento, rerum Conditor,
Nostri quod olim corporis,
Sacrata ab alvo Virginis
Nascendo, formam sumpseris.
1. Remember, Conditioner of things
That once of our body
from Virgin’s sacred womb
Being born, Thou assumed the form
2. Maria, Mater gratiæ
Dulcis Parens clementiæ,
Tu nos ab hoste protege
Et mortis hora suscipe.
2. Mary, Mother of grace
Sweet parent of clemency
Protect thou us from enemy
And receive at death’s hour
3. Iesu, tibi sit gloria,
Qui natus es de Virgine,
Cum Patre, et almo Spiritu,
In sempiterna sæcula.
Amen.
3. Jesus, to Thee be glory
Who art born of Virgin
With Father and kind Spirit
In everlasting ages.
Amen.
